Now

Writing from Berlin, where it is a beautiful (spring/summer) day. The sun is out and wouldn’t go away for a while. I still need my jacket… I am yet to decide which month in Berlin feels best, but May is surely one of the top contenders!

Each time I return to Berlin (after a few months in India), I find myself at Cafe Saz the next day. Rozie is there, smiling and brimming with stories. Between the numerous cups of coffee she has to make, we catch up on all that has transpired the last couple of months. Her family owns the cafe, and this place has been my comfort since 2019 (when they still allowed wifi inside).

It is the same ritual with Claudia, except it is slipping back into German-mode. Not having the vocabulary is never the reason to not share all.. she’ll update me in English and I would do the same in German, and we both have to be extra patient. Such friendships help you understand each other even without the words.. it is kind of sweet.

The next few of days after arrival are spent letting everyone know that I am back and setting up our coffee/lunch/dinner/walk-dates.

Work-wise:

On my agenda -

• getting this blog setup & in the process, learning more about Astro.
• signing a couple of contracts ;)
• still working on the Wiki25 Photo book (have to write about that one soon)

Currently Reading: I don’t have a new book on me this month, but the library gave away free books recently, and I picked up children’s books in German to read. I guess it is the only way I will increase my vocabulary - kein geld, kein zeit for Deutsche kurse!
